I am a Japanese girl who was born and grew up in Kanagawa, very close to Tokyo, Japan.
He is a US NAVY sailor who was born and grew up in sunny California.
We live in Ridgecrest, CA with two dogs, Tiffany and Dacota, Whom we adapted from animal shelter.
Even though we are in a process of wedding planning for 19th September 09, we have been already Mr & Mrs for almost 2 years.
We met in Japan when he was stationed there and got married on 21st September 07.
There were so much paper works with Navy to go thorough in order for him to marry foreign national. It took 9 months to get everything done and took 15 minutes to get married at city hall in my home town. As soon as we got married, it was time to start working on getting me visa so that we could move back to the states together and couldn't even think about having a wedding. Plus, his grand mother who is a huge part of his life can't take such a long flight to come to Japan because of her back problem. So we just had a small family lunch and BBQ party with friends.
But I am a girl who has been dreaming about a big white dress since I was 4 years old. Most of pictures I drew in kindergarten were ether princesses or brides.
I couldn't give up on my white dress.
Last year we moved back to the states and decided to have a wedding of my dream.
Since all of my family live in Japan, they have to fly but I'm sure it will be a good opportunity for them to come out to see where I live and meet all of in laws.
We are super excited for the big day!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had an E-session with our fabulous photographer Jen Harris on June 6th, Saturday afternoon.
Since we live 3 hour drive away from San Diego where we are having our wedding we decided to come down for the weekend to get done as many wedding related tasks as we can.
The E-session was the one of them.
Jen came to ayayaya's gramma in laws' (Hubby grew up in SD and his whole family is in SD and LB. That's why our wedding will be in SD.) and we headed to the famous Balboa Park where Jen recommended.
It was such a beautiful day. The sky was so blue.
We were pretty stiff first but Jen was very good at making us comfortable and the time passed so quick.
When realized she had taken more than 400 shots!!!!
Thanks Jen for such gorgeous pictures:):)

ALL THE PICS ABOVE ARE BY JEN HARRIS PHOTOGRAPHY.
I always knew I wanted to wear navy blue shoes for our wedding.
It's because I love the idea of wearing shoes with colors instead of white ones.
It's because our color theme is Navy, Yellow and little bit of gold.
It's because my lovely man who will stand next to me will be in US Navy dress blues.
And it's because I knew they would make my beautiful something blue.
The journey of finding my perfect navy blue shoes were not easy as I expected. I went to all the stores I could think of but no luck. My little feet were giving me hard time... I am 5'0" with 5 1/2 -6" feet. So the perfect shoes had to have very very high heels and preferably platform. The Higher The Better! There were a couple of pretty pairs along the way but none them were THE ONE. They were ether "Not high enough" or " They don't have small ones for my little feet". So I turned on my Mac and started a search.
and fond my perfect navy blue shoes...♥

They are from nina shoes with 4" heels and 1/2" platform. PERFECT!!
They are pretty comfortable too. The straps hold ankles so I don't have to worry about feet slipping inside the shoes or leaving one of them by accident when I'm walking down the aisle;p
Bridesmaid's bouquet.
I attached a rinestone brooch from Gramma-in-law on my beautiful bouquet.

My beautiful bouquet. I didn't really know what I wanted in my bouquet. So I just told Chanel from Timeless blossoms in SD our wedding colors (Navy blue and Yellow) and super low budget. The day of wedding, she delivered them to the hotel room where we were getting ready in. NO delivery charge!!!! She was soooooooooo great!!
This is what she came up with! uh....we paid only $200 with tax for my bouquet, 2 bridesmaids' bouquets, 3 bouts! Can you believe it!?!?

Going down the elevator to go see my love.

The ceremony begun...

We did all the flower arrangements with the flowers we got from 4 different grocery stores a day before. They came out really beautiful.

I created this guestbook with our E photos and ordered by our awesome Mac!! We couldn't have this beautiful day without this Mac, seriously. lol

He surprised me with a beautiful Tiffany necklace.... but he forgot our photographers were on a little break and did it without them. That's ok. We just re-did it!! lol

This cake topper is custom made by an e-bay seller so the little sailor's uniform matches the one he wore when we met in Japan.

We made everybody cry with this speech for the family. He read in English and I read in Japanese.

After the reception, we had some pics taken before we headed to the beach for more pics.lol
