THE STORY OF US » Who We Are » The coffee cups: Who we are.

We're two mexicans born and raised, a bit too influenced by the american culture.

    ..we look so young.

We met in high school and have been dating for 8 years. We're getting married the day of our 9 year anniversary... cause you know, having two anniversaries is way too difficult.

I'm a coffe addict who loves reading and stalking wedding blogs, he's an xbox addict who loves looking at fun stuff online (9gag).

We're silly people and an annoying couple, we enjoy watching movies and arguing about all kinds of stuff (seriously ALL kinds). We hold hands when walking and kiss each other every 73 seconds (we're annoying, believe me).

We're struggling with a semi long distance relationship (not really he visits every weekennd, but I'm a crying baby), and are getting ready to start sharing our lives, moving in and sharing the same roof, hopefully we'll survive.

THE STORY OF US » The Proposal » The Coffee cups: How he proposed

The day was Saturday October 1st, I was feeling crapy and not pretty at all, he decided we should go for a romantic walk at the Nainari Lagoon, an artificial pond considered the town's main natural attraction, it's quite romantic there.

Imagine this setting:

With this view (minus the moon, saddly it was a moonless night):

So we were walking and suddenly he stops, hands me his cell phone and plays a little slideshow he made with pictures of us and the song we agreed will be our first dance. It remembered our time together (it's been almost 8 yrs so there's a lot to remember), at the end of the slideshow it said: 'After all these years there's just one thing I need to know...' I look up and he pulls out a little box and says he needs to know if I'll marry him.

I couldn't answer, I just started to cry. I finally managed to say yes, and he asks me, which finger its it?. We stayed there kissing, not quite knowing what to do next, and then the perfect way to kill the mood: a fire ant bit the sole of my foot!.

I was really shocked, most of the time I know ehwn he's plotting something so he can hardly surprise me. By this time I was not expecting a ring at all (it's not a must in our culture), and between us I wasn't expecting a real rock (diamonds are rare and way more expensive than you'll think in our country). Moreover.. once I saw the ring in good lighting, it's a setting I saw online once and really liked (not sure if he actually asked my sis, that's the only way he could know)

So here's my precious, it fits my personallity, it's totally ME!!

I'm not sure this is the best Inspiration board, but it totally of gets the vibe of what I want.

Can you feel the autumn vibe there or should I add a bunch of yellowed maple trees? I like me some yellowed maple trees.
