Once upon a time, there was a boy who met a girl. They met in December 2007 (after talking for month...this girl was careful when she met this boy online). For Valentine's Day 2008, they traveled from Kansas City, Missouri to Eureka Springs, Arkansas for the first romantic weekend away.

The girl was hoping the boy would ask her to spend the rest of her life with him (even after a short break-up in October 2008). And he did on March 8, 2009.
So, this boy and this girl decided that they should be healthier.
And healthy, the boy and girl have become.
They still have quite a bit of work to do. But they will say "I DO" on November 7, 2009.
The first photo (from the first segment of Once Upon a Time) will always be in the kitchen for the boy and the girl to remember where they started, where they fell in love and where they will physically never go back. Engagement photos will be taken this Sunday (August 16). CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW WE LOOK THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The boy is Trevor and the girl is Amanda. She is singing at every event to help pay for the wedding. He pimps rides at a Ford dealership. She works at their church. He loves golf and Mustangs. She is slightly obsessed with Weddingbee, knitting scarves, Facebook and Grey's Anatomy. They never miss True Blood and are very thankful for DVR. They love their friends and family. And they can't wait to live happily, ever after. YAY!
We decided to re-live our first date through our engagement photos (how precious)...
Yes, I'm the girl who met the boy for the first time in a parking garage. To my defense, it was cold, snowy and icy (and 11 am for brunch so there were a lot of people around).
Plus, he took me here...
I even remembered my purse this time (yeah, on our first date, I drove about 20 miles to meet him in bad weather only realizing that my purse was at home on my bed after I got there - oops).
I love the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. If you ever come to KC, you have to stop there (especially at Christmas time - when we first met).

I even wore the same color shirt. I'm such a nerd, but I don't care. :)

I have been a bridesmaid nine times. I have nine dresses that I will NEVER wear again. I was determined that my ladies could wear their dress again. I did go with long dresses, but they were black...and their choice. Some people would get nervous with this, but I thought it looked fabulous.
What do you think?

My mother passed away when I was 18. It was November 21, 1998. I asked my husband if we could get married in November as a way of honoring my mother's memory (also...to give the month new meaning).
November 21 was an option, but I thought that was too creepy so we chose November 7. It was the perfect day. Fall leaves were on the ground and some were even in the trees.
We have a memorial garden at our church. The bridesmaids took a lot of photos there. I carried my bouquet of gorgeous flowers in memory of my mother and I took a photo next to her stone that I purchased in the garden. I love you, Mom!
