Weddingbee bios

We met at the place where we both do martial arts together. I was the new girl, he thought I seemed interesting and wanted to get to know me more, but I was (unhappily) taken at the time.  Well time passed, we became friends, then close friends who not only did martial arts, but also danced together and spent most of weekends together.  That was 2007... The rest is history, we're getting married January 27, 2010 and are very happy!

That one is an interesting one.

I had made a promise to myself that the only person I was going to live with in the future was going to be my husband - no more breakups where you have to move out.

As our relationship evolved, we spent all our time together, basically living together, but in two locations.  He knew that I would only live with someone once we had both decided that we were going to spend our lives together.  Well, a guy being a guy, he did not understand right away that I meant engagement!

After a while, and a lot of travelling back and forth from my apartment to his house, in a very romantic... car ride back from work!... we discussed our living situation and I clarified that I would only move in once we're engaged.  He did not want to get married right away, but when I explained to him that organizing a wedding does not happen overnight and that I thought one year was reasonable, he said: OK, I want to do this.

That was it! we went ring shopping together three days later because we wanted to make the announcement to my parents and couldn't without a ring!

It's so simple and most people would find it totally un-romantic, but I love our story because we were open with each other and discussed and made this big decision together - no surprises, no stress, very simple.

 

 

Shopping for the dress was not exactly the experience I expected... I had to try many before I could find the one I liked, and honestly, I cried over this... I would not do this again!  However, I found the dress for me and I'm very happy with it! It's Anne from Sophia Tolli .
