My fiance and I met Four Years ago Today. My fiance proposed One Year ago Today. And Four Months from now, we will be married.
We live in Cleveland, Ohio. Despite the perception - Ohio is not covered in corn, we actually live in a very dense neighborhood about 8 miles outside of the city. It is true that the economy has hit our area very hard, and my family has definately felt the effects of that.
I am an average height, blonde hair, one blue & one green eyed, 31 year old architect. I have been working for the same firm for 8 years now, and our firm specializes in historic preservation & adaptive reuse. We renovate a lot of warehouses & old buildings that people don't care much about anymore and turn them into something beautiful and useful again.
My fiancee is an incredibly tall, salt and pepper haired, bright blue eyed, 28 year old student. He was laid off a little over a year ago from his job in retail & he decided to go back to school. He had over 2 years worth of credits that transfered from his previous stints in college, and is now about a year and a half from getting his bachelors in Business Management. He's incredibly smart, and a super hard worker, and is currently starting to look for internships to find out what his real passion in business is.
We met in a bar on a Sunday evening. It was a trip that I almost avoided, but my friends dragged me to. They ran off to talk to people that they knew once they got there, and I was left standing alone. "M" (my fiance) - we will call him, came up to me and started talking to me. We talked for hours. The whole group of us went to "breakfast" after, and we stayed up till the wee hours of the morning talking. We got together a week later for our first "official" date, and have been inseprable since. We call the day we met our anniversary, because he feels it was our first date, and it was definately the first time he realized that he wanted to spend a bit of time with me.
Things moved quickly and got serious before either of us realized it. We moved in together after a year and a half of dating, into a house that I had purchased. Then the relationship slowed a bit - we definately took on the roles of "old married people". It took him another year and a half to propose, but I'm glad he waited. It gave us the time to really get to know each other.
We have now been together for four years and our wedding is just around the corner. He is my best friend, my favorite pillow & the funniest person I know. He is my biggest supporter, my best companion & the one person that I know I will be able to be with forever.
I look forward to sharing our wedding planning, our wedding and our life with everyone here! I also look forward to reading all about yours.
