Weddingbee bios

lol..

During our summer holidays of 2011, we had many adventures! From visiting botanical gardens, a science center, a week of camping...the adventure we both had our hearts set on was our hot air balloon ride!  

Originally our flight was scheduled for the beginning of our holidays, although had to be rescheduled due to weather. Thankfully, we were able to fly out a couple days before we had to return to work. 

I knew my proposal was in the near future, since we had already purchased my ring... but when it didn't happen during the hot air balloon ride, the thought of a proposal left my brain immediately. Little did I know, my fiance' did have the ring with him during our flight!! He later told me he just didn't feel it was the right time (we were sharing the balloon with 4 other couples, and he wanted it to be more intimate). 

After our gorgeous sunrise flight, I suggested we go for breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants. After we finished, I wanted to go walk around the mall for a short time (again, not knowing he had plans to propose!)... lol, in a polite way he said "maybe we should just go home and relax?". I agreed and we headed home.

After a short time of relaxing on the couch watching some tv, I had to go and use the washroom. Being comfortable together, I quickly said "i'll be right back, gotta pee."

Apparently this was my fiance's chance to pop the question! haha 

As return to the livingroom, I took my last step down the stairs to see my fiance' down on one knee with the ring box open :o

I was in complete shock!! We still joke to this day that it was a good thing he let me pee first, otherwise I may have pee'd my pants! 

After many giggles and tears, and a definitely Yes! from me.. we started our video calls to let our family know the exciting news. 

Looking back, I am so glad it happened how it did. Knowing that we already had the ring.. anything "extra special" we would do, I always had in the back of my head "will he propose now??".. I would have never guessed it would be in our own livingroom!! 

 

My custom natural sapphire ring!! I just adore this ring! I have wanted a sapphire e-ring since I was around 8yrs old.. truly a dream come true :)
