Weddingbee bios

To start, I am a woman of many, and I mean many, words.  I speak my mind and sometimes catch myself rambling on about nothing.  But to Mr. Fire, he wouldn't change that for the world.  We are outdoors people, love to fish, hunt, go camping, do yardwork, oh and of course, hunting.  We are small town people with big personalities. 

Mr. Fire is a volunteer firefighter at a local fire deptartment.  He has been fightng fire for almost 4 years and is working towards getting a full time firefighting job.  It is his passion, and never thinks twice about what he wants to do with his life.  Being a spouse to a firefighter is never easy, but it is worth it to hear his voice when he calls saying he's ok after a fire, or to see his eyes light up when his pager goes off.  Every nerve racking moment is worth it when I know he is one of the very lucky people in this world that gets to do exactly what he loves everyday.

I am in my first semester of the Dental Assisting program at my school.  I am hoping to become a dental hygienist, once it is offered in my area.  I never thought I would find a career that I loved so much.  I have loved every second of my time in my classes because I finally found something that really, truely interested me.  I had origionally gone to school to become a nurse, but something just didn't feel right to me.  I found out that they were accepting applications for the Dental Assisting program and something compelled me to apply.  I don't know what it was, but I figured "hey, if I get in, then why not go for it?".  And I got accepted!  I love every minute of everyday in my life right now.  I cannot wait for what the future has in store for me!

 

Our friends say that we are the perfect match.  We are both goofballs and love to have fun in everything that we do.

So is finding your wedding dress like finding your man?  Do you just know??  Does it hit you like a freight train saying HELLO I'M HERE!  I'M THE ONE?  Or is it something that grows on you, that over time you go from "hmm... that may be the one" to "yep, definatly the one".  I'm just confused, lost in a fluster of what I'm looking for.  I have tried a few dresses on (a friend from out of town that is one of my BM's pushed me to go so she can have some of the wedding planning experience with me), but honestly, it was a weird experience.  No crying (and trust me I'm emotional enough to cry over anything), no vivid smiles or eve excitement.  The whole process felt more like a job than anything.  After a few hours of trying on, searching and debating I finnaly found a dress that is what I think I am looking for.

 

Simple, elegant, lacy, and sparkly, all things that represent what I have thought I wanted in a wedding dress.  But still, I just dont know.  Should I know???  Should I have in mind EXACTLY what I am looking for, or is this really a process of learning and understanding, (like ring shopping).  Figuring out the difference between quality and quantity.  Is it that difficult?  Has anyone else had this problem?  Or am I jittery about the process for no reason and missing out on some enjoyment in this process??

So far, we are planning a black, white and red wedding with a fire theme.  This is an inspiration board created by a coworker (who is amazing!!).
