He had been working at the psychiatric hospital on the children's unit. She took an internship there, and they met within the first week. Being that the internship brought her to his unit daily, they developed a quick friendship throughout the 15 weeks. Near the end of her internship, he began to show more interest, and they began dating. This wasn't easy at first, but he wore her down!
There is actually no single proposal story, it's an ongoing process!
The Mr. first proposed to me about 3 months into our relationship. I don't know how he was so sure about me at that point, but he never let up. I was suprised at myself, knowing that I was so sure about him so early on! And so, of course I said yes!
But there was no ring, and it was basically just a mutual agreement. He proposed almost daily, despite the fact that I had already said yes! But I guess since I wanted a ring and I hadn't gotten it yet, he was afraid I would change my mind!
So in December of 2008, we finally found a ring, and made it "official".
I'm not disappointed at all with his proposal. Anything else would not have been "us". I like that it was so casual, but sincere all the same!

We haven't picked out FI's ring yet, but here is my set. We found this set on Craigslist for $100! I love it, it's the perfect size for my small hands, and it does sparkle (despite the fact that it looks dull here).
I don't really have any specs on it, except I think it totals to less than 1/2 carat and it's from Zales. We may upgrade the set when we become rich and famous.
