I love Mrs. Cowboy Boot's wedding day hair. That's the basis of my inpsiration!
The sideswept bags with a low side bun.

I think the fact that I've worn makeup a total of less than 10 times in my 27 years and being Asian in a white media dominated wedding world poses an interesting dilemma when looking for make up inspiration.
Because of this I've turned to Asian actresses for most of my makeup inspiration rather than boards like Project Wedding etc. Although I have found a couple from PW.

Inspiration for centerpieces via Colin Cowie
Love, love, love the simple centerpieces with White Gerbera Daisies.

Will be recreating some versions of these.
Using Jumbo Wine bottles that we will cut down and red LED Lite Cubes.

Details by me

My husband and I have been homebrewing for a little over 2 years. For our wedding we wanted to leave our guests a favor that represented us and showed our appreciation for them being there. So we created a homebrew! A light continental pilsner with citrus accents. We saved the typical amber microbrew bottles for almost a year. Cleaned and sanitized them all. We also designed and created our own labels calling them Brew HaHa and with the double happiness punch that is through all our paper goods.Little favor tags were double sided, doubling as escort cards with guests name and table # the flip side (I'm sad I have no pics of this side!) side Thank You in english, chinese and german.
And you can almost see I also generated our own UPC code with our wedding date and the "ingredients" were 8 parts happiness, 7 parts understanding and 10 parts love. Our wedding date 8-7-10.All our guests loved the brew! For the kiddos we created Loganberry, a regional beverage. :)

I want to be married under the beautiful arch of trees, no runner and no chivari chairs! They don't belong outside! I want just simple white wooden chairs.
I love simple square cakes. We get a four tier cake with our catering package so the key is to have a simple but beautiful cake that hopefully won't cost us extra!
My inspiration comes from using this cake via Knot as a base:

I love the shape of this square four tier. And the simple beautiful flowers. Although I do love the green and it's exactly the shade of green that's part of our color scheme I think the base will be just white (cheaper)
Colors like so:

I even love the simple white with red trim cake stand! Instead of having ladybugs traveling up I would like simple white flowers cascading down. And gee I even love the simple red letters. Maybe I can DIY that?

For us, it was extremely important to get good -non cheesy- vendors for the best deal, possible. We are extremely fortunate in that we think ou vendors seem to all be in the cusp of their professional career exploding. Winning awards like Best Of Brides, Best of Knot, etc.
Photographer:
The fabulous Erica Lyn!
She is quite possibly the sweetest, most understanding and accomodating vendor.
FI & I absolutely love her style because of it's edginess. Her knack for capturing that perfect shot is really exciting. We love her background in fashion photography, it gives her photos that edge that most wedding photographers don't have. We are SO excited to have her photographing our wedding!
DJ:
DJ Phil ala DJ Gaza.
It's no secret the repuation DJ Gaza has for NYC DJs. The part that excites us is their professionalism and their ability to view this as a business but making sure the party is hopping. To react to our guests vibe while keeping our requests in mind. The fact that they have a background in spinning at clubs leaves me confident that there will be zero cheese.
Hair & Makeup:
I personally, have zero, zilch, nada, zero experience with makeup. Having only worn makeup maybe 10 times in my whole life. DIYing this portion was not an option. Finding a makeup artist that will either travel to us or close to my family's home was necessary. Finding a artist that was experienced with asian makeup was required! I did not want to look like a baboon on my wedding day!
Through research and recommendations I found VickyC5 in Bayside. They are experienced in Asian Hair and makeup, all the while still making it look light and fresh.
