THE STORY OF US » Who We Are » Sheri & Greggor (collectively known as Shreggor)

Hmmm...

We're older than a lot of people here. I'm 32 and he's 35. I have a standard dull office job & he works in a lab assembling things that befuddle me in a "clean room" which sounds kinda nifty. We currently live an hour and a half apart but see each other 4 times a week.

My biggest hobby is probably cooking & wine. I'm also a huge Disney fan and I love all things dark and Halloweenish. His biggest passion is music (he plays bass & keyboards for a metal band and also has a side project where he covers old school video game themes as metal. It's awesome.) Video games (esp. old ones) are his other big hobby. We also both love all things Japan (we're learning the language together) , MST3K, and comic books (he loves manga; I love Sandman).

We met online when neither of us was looking for a date. I was dating someone else at the time. I think he might have been also but I'm not sure. Obviously, neither of those people we were dating at the time matter much. ;) We became friends online due to our shared interest in the movie The Last Dragon. The Last Dragon is a horrifically bad 80's film featuring characters named Sho' Nuff & Bruce Leroy.

You think I'm joking, but I'm not. He had this listed as a "favorite" on MySpace and thus, I friend requested him. HA! It didn't hurt that he was easy on the eyes, in fact, I thought he was so good looking, he'd probably never talk to me. *swoon* Also, most of his pictures, he was in his Ren Faire clothing so he literally was a knight in shining armor.

His online friendship helped me thru some rough times. No need to get into it but I'm sure glad those times are behind me.

We met  in person on 8/2/08 in Salem, MA. It wasn't even really a "date" date. We were just going to hang out in Salem and go to a comic book store, some goofy tourist attractions and get some ice cream.

We met at Harrison's Comics. <3 I thought it was adorable that he wore a t-shirt with a bunch of Marvel characters on it. Most women would probably be like...wth!? But I was impressed.

We hung out and had a fun filled day for about 9 hours. At one point, we went to the New England Pirate Museum where I volunteered to be hanged, which in hindsight probably made him think the date wasn't going very well. LOL.

But it did go well. Exactly one year to the date later, he proposed to me in Harrison's, in the exact spot where he first saw me. He picked out a black diamond set in white gold and surrounded on the sides  with smaller black diamonds and antique looking scroll work. I almost fainted when he asked.

I am one lucky lady.
