Weddingbee bios

After a series of failed relationships, I had taking a dating hiatus.  After about a year dry spell, a friend suggested online dating, and I said NO!  lol, I totally was a skeptical non-believer in online dating.  I basically thought that only weird loser predators used online dating services.  The friend convinced me after a while saying that 1) Try it for a month, if it works and you meet someone, cancell the subscription.  2)  If it doesn't work, cancell the subscription.  3) If it doesn't work, we can at least laugh at people online. 

So I signed up for a month, and lo and behold, there were many very nice people who use online dating services.  (There are still weirdos, but much fewer than I had thought!)  I can't remember now who contacted who first, but eventually, my FI and I ended up messaging back and forth a few times followed by some emails, a few phone calls, and then, duh-dun-duuuuuuh...the first date!  

We went out to dinner and then watched a movie at my apartment, and we've been together ever since!  

At first when people asked how we had met, I told them "through friends" because I was sort of embarassed that I had used an online dating service, but now I don't mind because we are a vast success as a couple, we are in love, and we are getting married soon!!  :)
