Weddingbee bios

We started out as co-workers in September of 2006 and immediately hit if off on our common love of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. In July 2007 we finally gave in (mostly meaning I broke my own rules of not dating someone at work and not dating someone taller than 6 foot) and began dating.  

I knew it was going to be a good day when I woke up on July 19th but not for the for reason it ended up being. It was a Sunday and I was hosting some clients in the company Suite at the Cardinals Game. Andrew was going with me and some other co-workers were going as well. What more could a hard core Cardinals fan ask for? Free tickets, free food, free beer!

After we left the game (we won by the way) was over we went back to Andrew's and started watching Apollo 13. My boss had mentioned at the game that there was an arch mowed into Art Hill in Forest Park and Andrew really wanted to see it. I on the other hand, well let's just say it wasn't my finest moment. I was dealing with a severe allergy headache and really just wanted to veg on the couch.  He kept asking me to go and I kept pushing it off for "10 minutes," "30 minutes," "after the movie is over." I finally gave in and gave Andrew an odd look for changing into shorts after he had been wearing jeans all day and it was chilly out but ultimately got in the card and drove to Forest Park.

We drove in almost complete silence (like I said I had a huge headache) and once we arrived we saw the arch and I was ready to hit the road again. Andrew kept insisting we get a little closer and I kept insisting the closer we got that it would dissapear. Yet again I caved. We walked up the Grand Basin closer to Art Hill and all of sudden Andrew said, "Oh yea I have an early anniversary gift for you." Our anniversary was the next day and he always makes me a card so when he handed me an envelope and card I didn't think anything of it.

As I was finishing reading the card I noticed it ended with ... and wondered what the heck that was about. I returned the card to the envelope and suddenly realized I didn't know where he was. Being 6'5 I pretty much can always see him. This is when it hit me... HE IS PROPOSING! I turned around and there he was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen.

It's about there it gets kinds fuzzy for me. I heard him say Kayla and then me. I think what I missed was Kayla I love you. Will you marry me. But you would have to ask him for sure.

We decided to sit down (I was a little overwhelmed and teary) and enjoy the moment together before calling our parents. Once we called our parents and my grandparents the wedding planning began!
