Mr. Backpack and I grew up in neighboring towns about 10 minutes apart. About the time I got my license I started noticing him around town. We never talked, but I always thought he had the most beautiful blue eyes. Fast forward a few years and I'm starting my freshman year of college. To my surprise, Mr. Backpack and I had a class in the same building! After several weeks of walking past one another and smiling, I finally got up the nerve to introduce myself. While Mr. Backpack was standing with a group of people I knew, I walked right up and said Hi to him. His response... "I bet you didn't know you can't kiss your elbow!" HA HA! I was hooked from that moment on! We dated throughout college and spent our summers traveling overseas together. Finally, after dating for 6 1/2 years, Mr. Backpack came home from work one evening, called me outside to our flower garden and proposed to me!! It was the happiest day of my life... I'm so thankful to be marrying my best friend!!
