Weddingbee bios

my best friend tells me she got 4 tickets for a yacht about a month ago.

(for some reason, I assumed it was a groupon sailboat for approx. 20 people)

we get there with my besties (bridal-party-to-be)

and I am pleasantly surprised it is a private yacht!

I am extremely excited, while super sad my boyfriend is unable to join us..

(I thought he was "having lunch with family back in new jersey")

we settle in, hook up the ipod, and we are all in a wonderful mood!

everything is perfect, the weather, the company, the yacht..

the 5th song comes on when my friends tell me to turn around.

my soon-to-be-fiance has been hiding in the boat!!!

(when the boat sailed, I thought surely he can't be on the boat...)

he slowly appears, (as I shriek with shock!), serenading me with a love song~~

my legs were shaking with excitement, but of course I managed to "yes!!"

We wanted a sentimental shoot, relevant to this moment in our lives.

So we shot in our apartment and then we went to iconic places nearby - Central Park, 5th Ave and the Plaza Hotel.

The shoot was also an excuse for me to wear my favorite designer, Mary Katrantzou.

We are taking the opportunity to plan a wedding as a chance to have fun!

These save the dates were made in May during the "end of the world is coming NOW" craze.

We tried to save money by printing affordable photos at CVS, and everything was simply hand written.

Many of our friends said they taped it to their walls, while they usually throw out save the dates~ 

Our "wedding" is in April, but we've been meaning to make it legal since we moved in at the beginning of the year :)

We finally made it! It is difficult to make time, because they are only open during work hours.

It was better and happier than I ever thought a legal marriage could be!!

I think all weddings should be like this - everything else is stripped away, and marriage - is so pure.
