We're Brazilian, living in Brazil.
She is an English teacher (teaching English as a foreing language) who first studied computer engineering, business and journalism, but knows now that what she really wants to study and teach is literature. Clarice didn't want to get married, not even after meeting Erick, but 6 months later she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, so my not marriage?
He is a system analyst working for the government. Erick is determinated and have always wanted to get married and have a family. He's glad Clarice studied computer engineering and still likes numbers, so they can laugh together watching The Big Bang Theory.

A long distance relationship is not easy, but we've done pretty well. I will move to Brasília, where Erick lives.
Being finally together will be the best and most difficult part of marriage, We can't wait.

He used to read my blog, then I started reading his. We talked through e-mail, we chatted on MSN, but there were 2.200km between us. He came to my city on 23th December 2004, we met, we talked all night but after that day I didn't want to keep in touch, we grew apart. A friend said I had commitment issues and I can't totally disagree.
Few months later, in a completely different city, we met again. It was very well planned and I had been flirting online with him the previous month. Despite the distance, despite his soon-to-be ex-girlfriend, we knew we had to be together.
3rd November 2005 was when he first called me 'girlfriend' and we've been in a long distance relationship since then.
Bem casados (or 'well married', if it can be translated) are a must have in Brazilian weddings. They are two little sponge cakes filled with dulce de leche - absolutely delicious.
The packaging is very important and they become part of the decoration, as they are so beautiful and guests get the bem casado only when they leave.
I first read about save the dates here on Weddingbee. They're not very common in Brazil, but I thought it was such a lovely idea and very useful for the out-of-town guests.
I just needed to tell my designer best friend (also in charge of the invitation) what a save the date was and the basic words I wanted. She came up with a beautiful and vibrant postcard style - and there was even a digital version to send through e-mail to close relatives. I loved it.
