We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together, and I love John more everyday.
I own a small public relations company, and John has a career in finance.
In our free time, we enjoy traveling. We hope to plan a downhill skiing trip every year.
John proposed in Montreal on 10-24-09.
We hope our wedding will be a wonderful celebration with our friends and family.
I admit that I love weddings, so this is such a thrill for me!
It will be fun to plan all of the details!
Our colors will be ivory, silver, raspberry and black.
In a word, I want our wedding ceremony and reception to be glamourous.

It is an exciting day because I finally placed the order for our Dessy 2765 bridesmaid dresses!I knew I wanted either dupioni silk or silk shantung dresses, but they are very expensive! And 7/8 of my bridesmaids are flying to Texas for the wedding, so I want to be considerate. After considering having the dresses made, I finally decided to contact several online retailers to negotiate prices. I was able to purchase these dresses for a fifty percent discount on the retail price! The online retailer, Netbride, has a great reputation, and I will let you all know when I receive them!
We are having two flower girls.
My niece, Sarah, will be seven.
And John's niece, Anna, will be three.
They are Ladybug designs, and ours will be light ivory to match my gown.
They are floor length, too, which I love! The sparkle will look great next to my gown, too.

I love these table numbers! Each table will have a little story about us.
Some are locations we have enjoyed on dates, others are restaurants or even cities.
I have eight fabulous bridesmaids!
{And two flower girls!}
Eight of my wedding party members live out of state!
I sent them each this custom card, along with a wedding cake-shaped cookie, to ask them to be in our wedding.
The cards and cookies were a huge hit! Lynsey from Decadent Designs did the cards.

We had a relatively easy time selecting a reception location. I wanted a ballroom with a distinct separate space formy cocktail hour. John wanted a "fun" vibe, that also represented the glamorous and chic feel we hope our wedding achieves. So we decided on the W Hotel in Dallas! I love the fact that our guests will also be able to receive free rides from the courtesy vans to locations up and down McKinney Avenue. And even in October, I think the infinity pool and deck will be a big hit with the guests! I am checking into a suite on Thursday, and we will stay there together on our wedding night on Saturday. Above are photos of the ballroom. The chairs are black, and so are the tablecloths. That is too much black for me, so I think I will go with silver table coverings. Below, there is a photo of the cocktail hour space, with the chic grey banquettes. And the bottom photo is the long hallway that leads to the event space.

I love wedding cakes! I always slow down while passing a wedding cake in a bakery window. There are so many styles to love, but for me, classic and full of intricate detail is perfect. To add some glamour to the confection, ours will also shimmer. Our cake was inspired by an all-time favorite design from Martha Stewart Weddings.
