Soon-To-Be Mrs. Sparkle is a Make Up Artist who was born in Tacoma, WA and raised in Montgomery, AL

We now live together in Tampa, FL and are the parents of a Male Maltese named Spade and a Female Maltipoo named Sophie. They will be our ring bearer & flower girl!

The soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. Sparkle met in Tampa, Florida the Christmas of 1998 @ my aunt's house. Mr. Sparkle just so happened to be my cousin's best friend. I was 11 and Mr. Sparkle was 14. Mrs. Sparkle had a super-instant-crush, and Mr. Sparkle  chased her around the back yard with markers, so one would guess that Mr. Sparkle was into Mrs. Sparkle as well.

Mr. & Mrs. Sparkle saw each other everyother christmas until about 2004. A total of 4 times, but there was something we just couldn't shake about each other. Mr. & Mrs. Sparkle stopped talking sometime in 2005. However, when Mrs. Sparkle found herself living in Mr. Sparkle's home state of Florida in 2007, well she just couldn't help herself.

Mrs. Sparkle bit the bullet and sent Mr. Sparkle an e-mail after not talking for a whole year and a half. Mr. & Mrs. Sparkle seemed to pick up right where they left off. Soon thereafter, they found themselves chatting on the phone nightly, and finally got the guts to meet up after not seeing each other for 4 years!

The "we'll meet up for drinks and chat" reunion turned into a whole magical weekend. Mr. & Mrs. Sparkle both knew that first weekend that that was it. A month later Mr. & Mrs. Sparkle were living together.

Now here we are, planning our wedding!

Thanksgiving morning Mr. Sparkle and I wake up and prepare to make our low-key Thanksgiving. Just me, him, our dogs, and a smorgasbord of food fit for a family reunion. And yes, we did eat it all!

Now, anyone who knows me knows that i ADORE cooking. However, I am also impatient and a little high strung. Of course these qualities don't mesh well in the kitchen, and Mr. Sparkle in the kitchen? Don't get me started. He tries, and I love him for it... but, apparently not everyone is blessed with my kitchen prowess. ;)

So we're cooking our Thanksgiving Dinner, all the while (i found out later of course) Mr. Sparkle is desperately trying to find a place to hide the ring, because he's scared i'll feel it in his shirt pocket, haha. Poor guy. Long story short, I'm cooking the food,  he's internally freaking out. THEN when i think everything is done, i put the pies in the oven (yes 2) lay out all the food all nice and pretty, only to find out that the Turkey is basically still RAW. SOOO I have to take the pies OUT, put the turkey back IN, THEN re-warm all the food when the turkey finishes. Shoot me.

At this point, i'm SO hungry and SO irritated and SO tired of cooking, i'm just ready to give up. I literally said to Mr. Sparkle "Thank GOD we're not having Thanksgiving at my Dad's house, because he always makes us say what we're thankful for, and i'm not thankful for ANYTHING right now!" Again, Poor Guy. Ladies, if a guy STILL proposes to you after that, he's in it for the long haul! FINALLY! Everything is finished and Mr. Sparkle managed to calm me down- thank God for that man.

So we're sitting down to eat and he says, "Ok, it's Thanksgiving we HAVE to say what we're thankful for" and asks me what I'm thankful for. I respond "I'm thankful to have you, our dogs, my amazing family, and good friends. What are you thankful for?" At this point I'm still TOTALLY clueless. He says: "I'm thankful for the dogs, my family, and my friends." I mean... he COMPLETELY skipped over me! I was like.. wait.. WHAT?! lol. But after a long pause, he gets down on one knee, pulls out the ring, tells me how much me loves me, and asks me to marry him!!! YAY!!! Well, duh i said yes! That will go down as the best Thanksgiving EVER!

Starts off mild, ends up wild!
