J is a computer/software engineer for Logitech that recently moved to Toronto from Chicago and I'm graduating from school to be a kindergarten teacher! We're very much like one another. We love what we do and strive to give 2 billion percent into our career. We like to snowboard in the winter and kayak in the summer!

J and I met online at match.com - he had recently moved from Chicago (US) to Toronto (Canada) for a new job and thus wanted to meet friends to show him around the city whereas I was so deeply emerged with my school work that I wanted to meet new people as well.
Long story short, we were each others first dates off of joining the online dating site. I got to show him around the Hockey Hall of Fame and teach him about hockey since he wasn't into it, and then finished off the date at the CN tower! Six months later, we got engaged and are now planning our wedding on August 21, 2011!

We had discussed about getting engaged for a couple of months and so I was expecting it to happen. So one night, J took me out to High Park, the biggest park in Toronto, which happened to be the park that we live across from and usually go on walks with one another. It was night and we were talking about each other's day as we were walking and he led me to this bench in the park, which was surrounded by trees and lit up by little garden candles. As we continued to talk, he eventually got on his knees and asked me to marry him! I know a lot of people cry out of happiness but I couldn't believe that this moment was happening that I was laughing out of joy!!
We had our engagement shoot with Dana Harper, she is amazing! I can't wait to have her shoot our wedding!
PS. This is a sneak peek of the photos since we took the pictures last Sunday so I will post more when I get them!
Maid of Honour: Kristen, my best friend since high school
Bridesmaids: Anna (my younger sister), Christie (my best friend from camp), Melissa (my best friend from high school)
I love my bridesmaids, they have all been so important in my life and have made a great impact in it! So when they all met each other for the first time, I surprised them and took them downtown Toronto for a fun photo shoot, which was a fun time for them to relax and get to know one another!
This shoot was inspired by http://joshnewton.smugmug.com/Portraits/Best-Friends/Bridesmaid-Shoot/7982218_eFizA#518691527_bqgLQ

What do you think about the spectrum instead of having one solid colour?

Inspiration:- Card: http://www.weddingchicks.com/2010/01/05/free-photo-calendar-save-the-date-card/- Carnation: http://bromeliadliving.blogspot.com/2010/07/diy-wednesday-make-no-sew-fabric.html
For the magnetic clothespin, I bought a bag of fifty clothespin for $1 at Dollarama. I then used my roll of magnets, which I bought from Walmart, and cut them into strips to glue on the back of the clothespin. Lastly, I used fabric that I found at fabricland to make the flowers for the clothespin!
TADA!!
