Weddingbee bios

Okay, so we met online, but we didn't -mean- to meet online.  No eHarmony or match.com - in fact, neither of us was looking for a relationship when we "met."  It was through mutual love of an old-school, text-based online game that we met, "introduced" through mutual game friends.

At first, it was simply talking but it quickly evolved into something more.  Soon we were spending caffeine fueled nights talking to each other for hours about everything and nothing...  And then our relationship moved from virtual reality into reality, though that was difficult because we lived 7 hours away from each other.

On January 16, 2004 I flew to New Orleans, LA to meet the love of my life in person for the first time.  It was awkward going from loving each other from a distance to being together in real life but we adjusted.  For a year and a half, we suffered through a long distance relationship, communicating mostly by computer and phone.  We visited when we could but because we were both in college it was difficult.

Finally, in June 2005, I moved to New Orleans and we were no longer in a long distance relationship!  I started graduate school and we both adjusted to co-habitating.  Right about the time we started to get comfortable and settled Hurricane Katrina came.  Needless to say that was a life changing experience but we evacuated together and took care of each other.  And we came back to New Orleans and have made the best of things since then. 

We're not perfect and we have the same ups and downs that all couples have but at the end of the day we truly love each other and that's all that really matters.
