At the very beginning of wedding planning, my colors were pale green and white.  After falling in love with my venue, which was very Mexican-hacienda-resort-y, and an inspirational trip to the Caribbean, I changed my colors to Caribbean blues.  Blue is my favorite color, anyway, so I'm not sure how I didn't come up with this before!  The hot pinks came into play because I LOVE bougainvillea.  I wanted to incoporate it any way I could.  Unfortunately, it's not something that florists usually work with.  Lucky for me, one of our good friends is a landscape architect and is going to beg and borrow some clippings and potted bougainvillea for the day.  I just hope it all goes well together!

I wanted to get really personal gifts for my girls', so this is one of the first things I started working on.  The bags I found by googling "straw bags" - they are HUGE, and were cheap ($30 with shipping for 6).  The website is sold out of them now, sorry!

This is my MOH's bag...

From top: Straw Bag ($5 from Dr. Leonards), Makeup Bag (See below), wrapped personalized photo book filled with inside jokes (wrapping paper from Target, books from blurb.com $30), wrapped Pacifica Gift Set from Sephora $15, customized CD with booklet (photos & album covers) & each CD burned with Lightscribe (free, since I had everything on hand), crazy straw wrapped in tissue ($0.50), monogrammed initial notecards ($1 bin at Michael's) tied with raffia, US magazines (free, since I subscribe, I did other mags for other bridesmaids), blue flip-flop slippers from Old Navy ($8.40 - they were full price at the time + coupon), Thank You photo card from Shutterfly ($0.50 - had free for 12 cards coupon, so just had to pay shipping).

Makeup Bag ($3 at Bath & Body Works Outlet), Ann Taylor Perfume (came free with bridesmaid dresses, that I bought), Secret ($1 at Target), Orbit Gum ($1 - I did other candy for each bridesmaid, based on what they like), Tylenol ($1 for pack of 3 at Target), Mints ($2.50 at B&BW - I couldn't resist them since they are my wedding colors!), Foot Petals ($4.67/pair on ebay), Wisp ($1, I think - from Target), Gap hand lotion ($2), initial tissues ($1 section of Michael's), drop Pearl gold-fill necklace ($20, designedbyLisa on etsy) on custom-designed card (by me).

I'm not going to add all the prices here together, so this total may be a little off, but I calculated that all this was about $100 for each girl... :)

I do hope they love them, because I love my girls!
