We met while attending Temple University. Calvin was a sophomore and I was a freshman. In October of 2004 I brought a friend of mine to meet his roommate and friend. While the two of them did not hit it off, Calvin and I were very interested in each other. We watched Office Space together and then after having our first kiss in Founders Garden on Temple's campus we began dating.
Calvin surprised me with a vacation. He would not include any of the details except the dates. This drove me crazy since I am used to planning everything. When the day finally arrived we took off for the airport and I learned that we were traveling to Disney World. On the second day of our vacation Calvin took me to the Magic Kingdom. We went on all of the rides, even went on some two or three times. Calvin put up with riding Dumbo twice for me and I went on Space Mountain for him. Never again though...so frightening! That evening we went to Cinderella's castle to watch the fireworks. We found a semi-secluded area to sit down and watch the fireworks. It was there in front of Cinderella's Castle under the fireworks that Calvin proposed to me. Of course I said yes! The ring was gorgeous and Calvin had written what he planned on saying down on paper so I get to keep it forever. Definitely scrapbook worthy.
Hi Everyone. So I am very new to Wedding Bee but here is my inspiration board for my winter wedding! <3 Hope you like it!
So I decided to join the masses and start my own blog. Since my date is not for a while (2+ years and counting) the entrys will be a bit slower. But I do love posting pictures and the frequency of the posts will pick up so feel free to follow it. I hope the further along I go the more I can give others some ideas for their weddings. :)

So my fiance and I have officially signed the contract and given a deposit for our venue! It is super exciting for us. We will be getting married at Elkins Estate right outside Philadelphia, PA. It is super gorgeous. It was built in 1895, fashioned in the Italian Renaissance style inspired by the Villa Farnese in Caprarola, Italy. There are giant pillars and paintings on the ceiling. Being that my fi and I lived in Rome together for a bit it feels super special to us.

So I am not a big poetry person. But this poem I fell in love with. It feels truthfull, not like all of those "you are my soulmate" poems. No offense to anyone who believes that, but I personally feel like marriage is more of working hard than just belonging together. Anyhow the author is unknown.
"Sooner or later we begin to understandthat love is more than verses on valentines, and romance in the movies. We begin to know that love is here and now, real and true, the most important thing in our lives. For love is the creator of our favourite memoriesand the foundation of our fondest dreams.
Love is a promise that is always kept,a fortune that can never be spent,a seed that can flourish in even the most unlikely of places. And this radiance that never fades, this mysterious and magical joy, is the greatest treasure of all -one known only by those who love."
