Us -
We are just a couple of nerdy kids who love each other very much and cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together!

We really try to class up our meeting when we tell people the story but the truth is that Jay and I met at a house party. We had seen each other around before but we both admit to being to afraid to talk to the other. One night with some nudging from my best friend we started talking. We spend that whole night talking while drinking a couple of bottles of wine. We even broke into an impromptu acapella of a song later on in the night.
It might not have been the ideal meeting story but it's ours and I won't change it for anything!

Jay proposed on Christmas Day 2008. Getting married was something that we had been talking about previous to this and we even looked at rings. However, Jay still wanted it to be a surprise so he knew that he couldn't do anything out of the ordinary without tipping me off.
Christmas morning was spent at my mothers house. After we all opened our presents, I went to start passing out the stockings. What I did not notice is Jay getting up and going to the closet to get something. I got up and headed to the fireplace to grab the stockings, I had her back turned to everyone and when I turned around Jay was getting down on one knee with a box in his hand. He asked me to marry him and without any hesitation I said yes!
We had our engagement shoot in the middle of winter in Michigan. We must have been pretty lucky because the day of our shoot Michigan had a little "heat wave" meaning it was around 35-40 degrees outside! Some of these are very silly because we can't take ourselves seriously!
I must have tried on about 15 dresses before I slipped this beauty on. The second I saw myself in it I knew that this was my dress!
BTW, this is a Demitrios dress.

Magnet
We did postcard and magnets via VistaPrint. On the back of the postcard where the blank space is we attached the magnet using glue dots.
Here are some pictures of them in action (crappy cell phone pics unfortunately)
