I'd been looking and looking for *THE* ring for a while before FH and I got engaged. I had decided on one design and told FH, then another, then another. Finally, one day we were talking about when *it* would happen, and he said, "Well, if you stopped changing your mind about rings maybe I could get one for you!" LOL. Anyway, this is the THE ONE, and I absolutely love it!!

After seeing these adorable save-the-dates featured on the Weddingbee blog:

I knew I wanted to create something similar! Our wedding is going to be pretty formal, probably with invitations to match, so I really wanted to have fun with the Save The Dates. Additionally, I'm toying with the idea of DIY-ing invitations, so this was a good chance to practice using the Gocco, creating and pasting envelope liners, rubber stamping and embossing.

We will be getting married at the Pierre Hotel in New York. When we first started exploring venues in New York, we weren't sure if we wanted a garden setting (like the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens), a loft (Tribeca Rooftop), or any of the other unique venues that the city offers. When we saw the Pierre, we fell in love with the classic location (on 5th Avenue across from Central Park!) and its quintessential New York feel!
