He is italian/black and I am Hungarian/black. I have never seen an engaged biracial couple before. I emphasize engaged because we just saw my first bf and gf biracial couple in chick-fil-A yesterday! My fiance is a web developer. We have a company together that is blooming :) I love to dance and sing. He loves to sing and dance. He helps bring my talents out of me; doing away with my shyness. This pretty much ended any hope for awhile of her doing online communication with anyone.   Hobbling over on crutches to the computer was something she could only do a couple times.  In an attempt to keep the connection she felt with Richard alive she did something she never does.  She gave someone she met online her street address.  To her great joy, they started communicating through snail mail.  Seeing each others hand writing only served to make the words they wrote more meaningful.  When she came home from surgery, the first thing she got was a card from Richard.  After this they became exclusive on Eharmony.  Later they transitioned to online chat through AIM & other chat programs.  They played online games together, chatted about everything and anything, & even did voice chat through those lovely programs.  Finally they decided it was time to meet.  The date was set for April 21, 2007.  When he arrived he brought flowers for Tamara & her Mom.  At his request he met her whole family to put everyone at ease.  A perfect Christian Gentleman. After that was a series of vacations back and forth to spend time together.  A few days in Minnesota, and a week in Las Vegas.  Back and forth many times.  It was in August 2008 that Tamara relocated to Nevada for a year to be near Richard. So yes everyone.  Eharmony does work, at least it did for us.  <img src="http://bios.weddingbee.com/my-plugins/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-cool.gif" alt="Cool" title="Cool" /> fyrefox on "Who said Internet Dating Doesnt Work?!" http://bios.weddingbee.com/topic/who-said-internet-dating-doesnt-work#post-2749 Mon, 23 Nov 2009 18:20:17 +0000 fyrefox 2749@http://bios.weddingbee.com/ Ima retired Cosmetics Manager and my Mister owns a Landscaping Co here in Toronto ;-) Ms. Library on "The Bookworm and the Geek" http://bios.weddingbee.com/topic/the-bookworm-and-the-geek#post-2746 Mon, 23 Nov 2009 13:20:40 +0000 Ms. Library 2746@http://bios.weddingbee.com/ I will start off with the person I know the most about, though sometimes I question that - me!  Born and raised in Southern Maine, I have always been into small town living - the comfort of knowing your neighbors, the spirit in the community for different school events, the ability to actually get to know someone.  When I met Mr. Library, I was reaping the benefits of such a lifestyle in, well, middle school.  That's right, middle school.  But that's another post.  As the years went on, the small town seemed to feel like a sweater two sizes too small.  I needed some room to breathe, and after finishing my Bachelor's degree in yet another small Maine town, I decided to give the big city a whirl.  Anything would have qualified as a "big city," so off to Providence, RI, I went.  A small city in comparison to other neighboring ones, but it felt big for me nonetheless.  After gaining new friends who helped acclimate me to my new culture, I graduated with a Master's degree in Secondary Education English, got a job as an eighth grade language arts teacher, and moved (you guessed it) back to small town Maine.  Boy, talk about a cycle.  My life outside of moving around revolves around my friends, family, Mr. Library, photography, cooking, reading, field hockey, coaching sports, and the Food Network.  Dates with Mr. Library often consist of curling up on the couch to watch Top Chef or Ace of Cakes marathons.  It's not fancy, but hey, neither are we!  Wedding planning has taken over my free thinking time, and I am obsessed with coming up with new ideas.  Mr. Library likes to joke that I send him at least one wedding planning idea every day during my planning time.  Sometimes I think he is right. Speaking of Mr. Library, the man of my life, he is currently living in the big city of Boston attending graduate school at Harvard, a school whose reputation is just under that of my alma mater: Brown University. (Okay, so maybe our educations are a little fancy...) He is studying dramaturgy, the research end of putting on theatrical productions.  The academic aspect of this arena suits him to a T; he is always reading, researching, and critiquing plays.  His passion for theatre originated in (you guessed it!) middle school.  We grew up a town or two apart.  In high school, he was in every play and every theatre club.  College came and went with a B.A. in Theater Arts, and onto grad school he went.  We have put off our wedding for two years because of the financial demands of graduate school, so his graduation in June will be a welcomed sight! Mr. Library's hobbies include making fun of me, giving me a hard time, and poking fun when I occassionally make mistakes in my verbal grammar.  Or at least those are what it seems like sometimes! :-D  In all honesty, he enjoys reading, the Food Network, board games, climbing rocks, and taking walks with me.  Our most favorite activity?  Snuggling.  And being cute.
