We are two newly-wed optometrists enjoying married life and ready to explore the world together =)
I was born in Missouri, lived in Mississippi, and eventually moved to California when I was 6. So I pretty much consider myself a California girl at heart. I grew up in the Bay Area, went to college in San Diego (go UCSD!), and moved out to Boston for 4 years for optometry school.
Joe was born and raised in San Francisco. He also went to UCSD for college and then he was off to New York for optometry school.
We dated over 5 years before we got engaged and had a 2 year engagement for a total of 7 years before we eventually got married. Five of those seven were long distance-- between CA & NY, Boston & NY, and Boston & CA.
We finally got married August 8, 2009 and have been loving it ever since! It feels incredible to finally be living in the same city and starting our lives together as husband and wife =)
