Here I am finally posting a bio...and I can't figure out how to begin. We are the Baker's, nice to meet you.
We have 3 furrbabies: (l-r/oldest-youngest) Rockstar, Diva and Sonata. They are the light of our lives. (yet they all insist on sleeping on the bed with us every night)
We knew each other through mutual friends but were not fond of each other at all. Fast forward 3 years, Myspace reaquanted us.
We originally married June 2005 but do to lack of funds we got as far as filing the marriage certificate.
I have wanted a wedding since the proposal but knew it would be tough financially. We opted to have it later in the year. That year came and went without a wedding. I have always had the thought of having the wedding on our 5 year anniversary.
For our 4th anniversary this year we went to Disneyworld with family. We were running late for lunch and my mother told our waiter it was our anniversary. This is what shortly followed our arrival:
That day, I knew I had to have that real moment at our wedding. Meaning we had to finally have "our"wedding.
So here I am today: planning a wedding with the loving support of my family and maid of honor...and he has no idea!
I decided that I am going to keep it a secret until Christmas. The wedding will be June 2010 on our actual anniversary so I have plenty of time to change things if he absolutely hates something. But I'm leaving the guy decisions open: food and booze. I told myself that I couldn't back out of this one. No bridezilla, no nerves, no "I can't"s, no financial issues. This is going to happen.
And so it has. In the last month I have used my little iPhone as my wedding planner, budget calculator, communication, GPS device and yellowpages. I have almost everything for the wedding and there is no paper trail. This is even more spektacular because right now we live on the east coast and the wedding is going to be on the west coast. My trusty mother has sent me countless pictures of the venue. I have sent countless emails back and forth. But I have finally made the decision to do it...Yay!
Without my phone, I am not sure how I could have done all of this and him catching me red handed.
In conclusion () who are we? We are the Baker's, finally getting married!
