You may think the guy is supposed to "pop the question" to the girl and everything... However, tradition is NOT how my family does things! My mother proposed to my father, my sister proposed to her husband and I proposed to my soon to be husband! My fiance was on a bowling league at one of the local bowling allies. Surprisingly enough one of his members on the team happened to be the one that owned the bowling alley. I asked him if they had any old balls that they were not using. He gave me one. Since my fiance and I dated, we had not been without each other. My fiance was gone for 3 days and to me, those three days seed like an eternity!!!! I had gone to visit my grandparents while he was away. On my way back in to town I stopped at a jewlery store and got his and my ring!!!! ( I couldn't be engaged without a ring.) I was going to propose to him at his bowling competition which was on a Friday. However, I felt like I had waited long enough. I took the ball home with me and was contemplating on what to do.We were watching "Sixteen Candles" for like the gazillionth time and he went to the bathroom. I placed the ball on our coffee table facing up so he was sure to see it. Now I didn't get on one knee but I held his hands and looked deep into his eyes...he told me... "it would be my honor to be your husband!" I placed his ring on his finger and he placed mine on me...:) pure magical bowling bliss!! the day of our proposal... he had no idea it was coming!!!!
