How did I manage not to take a picture of our Save-the-Dates?! Thanks heavens for screenshots {which is why the text is a bit blurry, and one word is underlined as mis-spelled}.
I wanted something very casual for our Save-the-Date, to set the tone of our venue {a cottage-country lakeside resort}, and something very "us". I like how clean and simple it is, but still a tiny bit 'designy'. We hadn't taken our engagement photos yet so I made do with the best self-portrait couple photo we had - I did love that it's us on a lake!
The cards are all greyscale with the exception of our first names on the front. I printed them on watercolour paper, and wrote out the envelopes myself in a big, flourishy script.
Mom, FMIL and MOH all came over to help cut them out, along with the circular return address labels I whipped up, featuring our initials/monogram in the center.
