We went down back to his home area to celebrate his grandpas 80th birthday! We had been together for aboup 4 yrs and had traveled down south back to his home several times. His granpa is a huge part of his life, especially while growing up and I knew we were not going to miss his 80th birthday. It as at the end of the celebrating that we are looking at some of the really unique and fun paintings on the walls of the his grandpa's old restaurant that we are having the party at that I was telling him how much I love him, and that his family is so awesome and fun! He said "well, with that said, will you marry me?" I was totally surprised! I had no idea! I said yes of course! He told me later how everyone had been bugging him the whole night, winking at him and encouraging him, and I was oblivious! He had handed my best friend the ring in the box while I waited in the car, again oblivious to why he had to go to their car first before getting in ours! That guy is so awesome!
