I LOVE Galveston. I always have. Initially, and since I was younger, I wanted a beach wedding. How much more romantic can you get, right? Well, the thought of the sand, wind, all that noise and the dirty beach water kind of burst that happy bubble.
My first choice was a small B&B called Avenue O. It's an old house that was built in the 1880's and it was just TO DIE FOR!! However, while looking for a minister that could marry us in the Island I found Kemner Park and through it my lovely venue, The Garten Verein. I was ecstatic when I found out:
A: It was available on our requested Date
B: The price drop when holding a wedding on a Sunday as opposed to a Saturday
The only drawback was that we had to up our guest list from 65 to 100+, which in turn increased the cost of the WHOLE wedding. Oh, but it will be Lovely! :D :D :D I can't wait!!
