I'm so glad to hear that there are others that met online. My finance and I met on yahoo personals 15 months ago. After ending a prior relationship that I was in for 6 1/2 years I wasn't sure how to meet anyone and a friend of mine suggested joining yahoo personals. And let me say everything happens for a reason - because prior to meeting my FH I sure did pray "Dear God please send me someone to love that is going to love me back just as much as I love him" and BAM a month after signing up there he was.
I always thought that saying "You will know if he's Mr Right" was so cliche, but after our first date I was sure I was were I was suppose to be. Christmas 2008, nine months after our first date, I flew to TX to spend our first christmas and our last weekend before deployment together and left a bride to be. Despite the long distance due to his army training last year and deployment this year - I have never been so sure about a relationship as I am now. I can't wait to have him back home.
