Wow, this ring is gorgeous. It really stood out among the other ring pictures. I love it.
posted by BriansBride 4 months agoAlso FYI the ring is a little too big in the picture with my hand - we had it resized later. Thus the wobbly fit.

posted by jembug9 3 months ago@MissAlyssa87 So far when I tried it on, it seemed pretty flush. I can't speek for long term, as he insisted i was not allowed to wear it for more than the 5 minutes I did haha. He hid it from me until the wedding day :P But I'm less than 2 months away now...so soon I can tell you!

I have to say he did a great job picking out the ring! We see so many pictures that are big and gaudy and especially here in South Florida, the overflowing number of "BAM check out my major BLING" sort of rings are blinding. To be honest, I am a practical person. While I do love glitz and sparkle, I wanted something that wouldn't weigh me down or might easily get slammed on corners and drawers. Then considering as well we still would add on a wedding band, thin was defintely the way to go. Also - my mom has a ring where the wedding band is two peices welded together with a slot in the middle for the engagement ring to fit into: like a puzzle. I would love to do this since I'm a little OCD about balance, so having the larger princess diamond above or below the wedding band will eventually drive me crazy. This is something that came up after we got the engagement ring but luckily with such a thin ring, we can easily go back for maybe a 1 yr anniversary, get a second wedding band and have the two welded together to fit around my engagement ring. It will be glorious :)
For this reason I used to tell him simply get me a solitaire, princess cut ring. Just a thing white-gold band, with one reasonably sized diamond.
Well he managed to step it up just enough and still stay within my ultimate wishes in a ring and it's gorgeous :) Don't mind the scratch on my finger - I'm a clutz lol. And then here is a picture of the ring with the wedding band that just came in. Can't wait to wear them both together!
