posted by Liss13 6 months agoI have a VERY similar story! My fiancé and I met at the gym and I was in a serious relationship of 5 years at the time. That relationship was rocky and there was this undeniable chemistry between my fiancé and I. I tried not being friends with him but something kept bringing us back together. My ex and I broke up 2.5 years ago and my fiancé and I have literally been inseparable a week after I moved out! We are true soulmates! It's true always follow your heart and dreams! I feel like I found the perfect man in my eyes!

I went with one of my friends to her house where she lived with her boyfriend and 2 other guys...and there was my soon to be husband working on his car. I knew I didn't have very strong feelings for my ex so I just ended it with him and I ended up moving in with my friend, her boyfriend, my soon to be husband and another guy, and we have been perfect ever since! It's so weird the way things work out!

Okay we didn't have your typical Cinderella story, but it was a fairy tale nonetheless, and one that guarantees a Happily Ever After!
We met at work the week he was hired. He was single, and I had a bf of 3.5 years, this is not a good start to romance. After his first day at work he went home to tell his roommate that he had "found the girl I'm goign to marry" and somehow from then to now his prediction came true. But how??
From the moment we spoke we had a serious connection, so naturally I shut down those emotions. "This is crazy, you just met him, you have a serious bf". But three weeks later I couldn't get him off my mind and I knew something magical was going on. So I left my bf of 3.5 years to pursue a relationship with a man I had known only 3 weeks, and in that time we had only talked at work.
So where would I live? i had lived with my ex-bf for the past 3.5 years, and rent is ridiculous, and to add to the situation my best friend and her hubby had just left to Greece for their honeymoon. So I moved in with the new guy.. what could go wrong? Lol.
We both knew we had soemthing worth fighting for, so despite the breakup, the shocked family and friends, and the stress of moving in and trying to get to know a man you just met, we made it work. We worked hard and were extremely honest with one another on how we were feeling.
And we haven't looked back since, and that was 2.5 years ago. Our wedding is set for September 21, 2013.
Morale of this story:
- Never EVER settle on your relationship
- ALWAYS follow your HEART
- Don't listen to anyone but YOU
