This is what we're doing! I've got 2 brothers and a sister - he's got one of each and their spouses. I love that it makes it more of a family affair.

But then we are each going to have 6 total so Im also having his cousing who Im close to, and my 2 best friends from high school! He will also have his cousin (sibling of girl cousin on my side!) and his 3 best friends from home!

As we started our planning, we tried to keep everything simple. We didn't want the wedding to get out of hand and become less and less about the marriage. In doing so, we wanted to pick our bridesmaids and groomsmen accordingly. We didn't want to have a big party but we didn't want any of our close friends to feel left out. I am sill close with many of my friends from high school, keep in touch with life-long friends from church, and was still making memories with my besties from college.
So, we tossed our friends out of the picture and picked: our siblings. We're both one of five children total and so the symmetry thing still worked out for us. However, it just so happens that I have four brothers...but they cleaned-up real nice just for their dear sister : )
