So, I'll admit...I found him on MySpace. I saw his picture while doing a search and it took my breath away. I had never seen him before but his name sounded familiar. I guess when you see a last name like "Honke" you don't forget.
After a few emails back and forth, I came to realize he was a bit shy and that maybe I'd have to be the forward one. I had no problems with taking charge of the situation so I asked him out for drinks. Oh, and I picked him up What a lady I am! After about an hour of conversation and 4 tall drafts, I knew there was something different about this one. (and no, it wasn't just the alcohol! well maybe a little) After that first night I had to see him again, but wasn't sure if the feeling was mutual. I learned from previous experiences that if you want to know something JUST ASK. So that's what I did, and sure enough I saw him every night for the next week.
After a few months of the ups and downs of starting a new relationship, I had this feeling that maybe this guy could be my "one". I guess every girl thinks that when they fall into a new relationship, I know I did! We grew together in such a way that's hard for me to explain. It wasn't always perfect, no relationship is, but I felt so in love that I still get butterflies in my tummy when he walks in a room. Yea, that's kinda superficial but it's the god honest truth! Now that you know how we met, here's a little about myself and my Noodle.
I'm a 26 y/o hairstylist gone 9-5er. I'm a customer service specialist (sounds better than representative) at a company in Gaithersburg, MD. I am fairly new at my job, still trying to fit in and learn the ropes. Back in March my salon had to close due to tough times in the economy. It was a very tough time for me being I finally had a steady clientel and decent paychecks.
**Note**Just in case you didn't know, most hairstylists work on commission only with no benefits...take care of your hair dresser!
Anyways back to me...After months of job searching I found a 9-5 with great pay and benefits. It was a tough transition going from a 4 day work week to 8 hours a day M-F. But the hard work pays off, and I still do a good number of my salon clients on the side. I would love someday to go back to school and finish my degree, I'm just not quite there yet.
On to Mr. Noodle...he is a 31 y/o golf pro who also manages at Golf Galaxy, a large golf merchandise store. I've never met someone who finds it necessary to have 3 sets of golf clubs and numerous amounts of extra clubs "just in case" But he's my guy and I love him! He is so passionate about golf, I know that sounds slighty odd but if you could have been there next to him at the AT&T National watching Tiger Woods practice it would have made your heart melt. Well, at least mine did!
He's a wonderful, caring, patient man who makes me feel like the most important person in the world. I must say that I plucked a great catch and I'm a happy girl!
