Mr. Corvette and I love the lake. Fortunately, we live very close to one and spend a lot of time biking the trails, or just walking around and skipping rocks. The night of the proposal, I got all dressed up and we went to a lovely dinner. Then, a trip to the lake! I knew then that it would be the night he proposed. We got to the lake just as the sun was setting. He mumbled a lot nervously, and then was down on one knee. Of course I said yes, and then killed my phone battery calling and texting everybody. To celebrate, we took whiskey shots in the kitchen and talked about our future together. What a perfect night!
