I received a call from an old high school friend I hadn't seen since graduation (about 2 years). He asked if I wanted to go get some coffee some time and hang out, to which I agreed. Fast forward 2 weeks to coffee shop. I walked to the shop around the corner and saw him inside. He was sitting next to a very handsome red-head. I was so nervous around the strange guy I couldn't even talk to my good friend. For weeks the 3 of us spent time together, and the red-head (Colton) would try so desperately to get me to speak. I only spoke to my friend (Mike) when Colton left the room or I'd whisper. Finally one day I was sitting at home and heard a knock on my door. I looked out to see Colton standing in the snow... with no Mike. I panicked but opened the door. He asked so nicely to come in that I nodded. "Why won't you ever say one word to me? Can I least get a hi?" He asked and my response, a nod. So he started with the basics, asking questions about me to which I'd answer in as few words as possible, and he'd tell me about himself. I found myself more and more intrigued by him as I found out more about him. As the sun went down he finally left. But only to show again the next day, again alone. This continued for 3 weeks before I finally spoke to him in more than a few words. Before he left that evening, he asked me out to which I agreed. It was a very rough 5 years but now we are VERY happily engaged to be married early next year at Walt Disney World (which works being as I'm 'his Tinkerbell', at 4'10" with blonde hair and the favorite color of green).
