In the fall and winter months, Mr and I frequent a state park close to where we live. Its located on the biggest man made lake in Illinois and crawling with wildlife. We love it. We always drive through and count how many deer we see. It was February (i honestly forgot the actual date..i know i know) and he picked me up from work. On the way home he mentioned going out to look for deer but suggested I go home first and change out of my scrubs. I told him I didnt think I needed to change since we wouldnt be getting out of the truck. Mr then told me that he needed to stop by the house anyway because he needed to "do number two". After we go back into the truck we headed for the park. On the way, I was bored so I started to fidget. Never before did I have the urge to open his glove box, but in that moment I wanted to see inside. When I reached to open it, Mr let out a big "DONT!" I instantly went in to crazy girlfriend mode, questioning what was in the glove box that he was hiding! Everything went through my head. Pictures of an ex, phone number of another girl he met, panties of another girl he met... never a ring though. We drove through the park. Saw some deer and came up to a pavilion next to the water where we sit and have picnics in the summer months. When Mr asked to get out and look at the water, I gladly accepted his offer. I love to watch the water, especially when its cold. As we're standing over the lake, he starts saying all of these things. Talking about our future and about our past. A beautiful speech that completly escapes me now. All I remember is being blown away when the love of my life took a knee, and asked me to be his wife.
